is the ARCB?

The American Reflexology Certification Board (ARCB) is a non-profit independent testing agency, setting the standard of excellence in the field of Reflexology.

The ARCB was created in 1991 to promote the field of Reflexology through the recognition of competent professional practitioners.

The ARCB's core missions are to certify the competency of professional Reflexologists, protect public safety, precluding self interest, and serve as a national referral board for certified practitioners.

Our Board of Directors

Lara Westdorp, MPA, NBCR President

Lara spent over 20 years in the field of Public Policy before turning to her true passion - complementary and alternative medicine. She is nationally certified in Reflexology and a Reiki Master.

Lara joined the ARCB Board in 2021. She is also a board member of the Maryland Reflexology Association, and owns Frederick Reflexology in western Maryland.

Evie Fleming, LPN, NBCR Secretary

Evie is licensed in Practical Nursing, a registered Yoga instructor, and nationally certified in Reflexology. She joined the ARCB Board in 2022.

Evie runs her own business, Tree Evolution Reflexology & Yoga in Atlanta, GA. For 20 years she has worked with medically fragile children, and medical laboratory services. Evie is dedicated to helping people through self care.

Rayann Larsen, NBCR Treasurer

Rayann Larsen is an ARCB Certified Reflexologist, member of the Georgia Reflexology Organization (GRO), and has served as a Professional Project Manager for 15 years.

Gretchen Maelle, NBCR

Gretchen is a Nationally Board and Washington State Certified Reflexologist. She joined the ARCB Board in 2022.

Gretchen is also a member of the Washington State Reflexology Association (WRA), and recent past President, serving from 2019 to 2021.

Ellen Berger, NBCR

Ellen is a Nationally Board Certified Reflexologist. She joined ARCB in 2023.

Ellen is also a certified meditation teacher, yoga instructor and has taught English in Ukraine and to immigrants in the US. She has served on the board of The Healing Place, homeless shelter in Athens, GA. She has also facilitated several mission trips abroad to Africa and Nicaragua.
She has recently relocated to WV and is building Ancient Arts Reflexology in VA and MD.

Jennifer Gale, ND, FDN-P, CHCC, NBCR

Jennifer Gale is an ARCB Certified Reflexologist, a Naturopath certified by the American Naturopathic Medical Board, and a certified Holistic Cancer Coach. She is trained in Classical Naturopathy focusing on the areas of Nutritional Counseling, Herbalism, Reflexology, BioEnergetics, and Urban Farming. She also practices in the Functional health space as a certified Functional Diagnostic Nutrition Practitioner.

Fellowships

An ARCB Fellows are open to all ARCB Certified Reflexologists. As Fellows you will work on specific projects designed to advance Reflexology as a Profession and build your skills and resources as a Reflexologist.

Committee & Advisors

ARCB committees are organized so that the most difficult issues can be worked through by involving as many people within the field as possible. The ARCB bylaws list four standing committees: Advisory; Ethics & Grievance; Continuing Education; and Legislation .

ARCB Advisors are volunteers that share their expertise to the board on specific issues.
